Artist Research Posters
Select one artist from the following list:
You will use the internet on your phone or a computer to research your artist. You will need to locate as many items from the following list as possible. (Wikipedia is okay, but Yahoo Answers, etc. are NOT acceptable sources!) DOWNLOAD THE HANDOUT BELOW. You don't have to print it out, you can just answer the questions on a sheet of notebook paper, scrap paper, etc. Answer the questions. Complete at least 4 quick sketches of the artist's work. Complete the Creative Name design practice and complete at least 4 thumbnail sketches of your "poster" layout.
Step 2: You will use the notes and sketches to make a detailed Artist Poster that shows your understanding of your assigned topic. Your "poster" can just be on 8.5x11" paper or any size white paper that you can find! Creativity is expected in the design of your page. Include information that is decorated in the style of your artist, art period, or work of art.
